A seasonal change is not just a formality — a tire that does not match the season brakes worse, grips less and wears out faster.
What the law says
In Serbia, winter equipment (winter or M+S tires with adequate tread depth) is mandatory from 1 November to 1 April, regardless of the actual weather on a given day. Police do not check a calendar blindly, but if you are stopped out of season without winter tires, a fine follows.
The 7°C rule
A summer tire goes hard in the cold and loses grip; a winter tire wears faster and lengthens braking distance in heat. Practical rule: once average daily temperature drops below 7°C, switch to winter; once it stays reliably above that in spring, switch back to summer.
Why not to wait for the last moment
The first cold snap or the first forecast of snow is when everyone suddenly wants an appointment, so garages get their longest queues right then. Change a week or two earlier and you skip the rush while driving more safely than those still waiting in line.
How mobile tire service handles a seasonal change
We come to your address, driveway, car park or office with your own set of tires or wheels. We take the old set off, mount the new one, balance it and note the recommended pressure if needed. No waiting at a workshop — the tires are done while you are at work or at home.
