Most tire shops in Belgrade close at 6 or 8 pm. After that, a driver with a flat tire has three options: change the wheel alone in the dark, call a tow truck, or call a night-time mobile tire fitter who comes to the address. This article explains the third option and when it makes sense.
Why night calls are different
Traffic is lighter at night, so we usually arrive faster than at rush hour. On the other hand, visibility is poor and the driver is tired or stressed. That is why safety comes first: we light the car with work lamps, place a warning triangle and work on the side away from traffic whenever possible.
Most common night calls
- A flat tire in the morning before work. If you call right away, the car is ready before shops open.
- A tire that fails on the way home. We get many calls from the centre, Ada, Zemun and Novi Beograd after midnight.
- Vans and trucks on night routes. Every hour of standing still means a delay.
- Taxis and passenger transport. The vehicle is their income, so they cannot wait for morning.
What to prepare before you call
Tell us the exact address or location, the make and model, and what you see on the tire. If possible, read the size from the sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. Tell us whether your spare wheel is inflated, and take the locking wheel nut key out of the boot in advance.
Staying safe while you wait
Switch on the hazard lights and, if you are by the road, place the warning triangle and put on a reflective vest. Do not stand between the car and the traffic. We will call you when we arrive.
Repair and replacement at night
At night we do the same work as during the day: puncture repair, tire replacement, fitting and pressure check. We balance the wheel if there is level ground and enough light. If not, you can drive normally after the change and we balance it later.
