Most tire shops in Belgrade are closed on Sundays, and those that open close early. Public holidays are even harder, and that is exactly when many people travel. Here is what to do when you need a tire fitter outside working days.
When it is hardest to find a tire shop
- Sunday afternoons and evenings
- New Year, from 31 December to 2 January
- Orthodox Christmas (7 January) and Statehood Day (15 and 16 February)
- Orthodox Easter, from Good Friday to Easter Monday
- Labour Day, 1 and 2 May
- The days after holidays, when shops are overloaded
What you can do yourself
If you have a working spare wheel and tools, and the car is on safe, level ground, you can change the wheel yourself. With a compact spare, drive no faster than 80 km/h and only as far as needed. A factory repair kit helps only with a small hole in the tread. See spare tire or repair kit.
When to call
Call if you have no spare or it is flat too, if the tire is damaged on the sidewall, if the car is on a slope or a busy street, or if you simply lack the tools. The same goes for vans, SUVs and trucks, where wheels are heavy.
How the mobile service works on Sundays
A mobile tire fitter has no shop hours, so Sundays and holidays are normal working days for us. We come with tools and tires, repair or replace the tire and check the pressure in all wheels. Over the holidays we can also do your seasonal tire change at home, instead of you queuing afterwards.
If you are travelling
Before a trip, check the pressure in all tires, including the spare, and look for nails or cuts in the tread. If a tire slowly loses air, fix it before you leave, not on the motorway. If a tire does fail on the road, read tire blowout on the motorway.
Whatever the day, mobile tire service Belgrade works 24/7. Call +381 69 682 682.
